Cornish slate permeable surfacing.

Finished garden with crushed Cornish slate used for pathways.
We recommend using crushed Cornish slate as a very effective surfacing material. It is an attractive yet low cost slate by-product that has been tumbled in a machine so it is not sharp edged. Unlike traditionally used chippings or aggregate, the crushed slate is by its nature softer so it will compact down. Due to this, it forms a very firm surface which is suitable for driveways, muddy farm lanes, courtyards, patios and areas for planters.

It is very environmentally friendly as it is a waste product from the quarries slate production, so it is sustainable to use.
